Spinal cord injuries can force enormous changes on a family. When an individual loses the ability to move around and the freedom to live his or her life in the manner he or she was accustomed to, there must be changes to all aspects of life.
At Kinnard, Clayton & Beveridge, our Nashville paraplegia attorneys have helped injured clients for more than 30 years. Our understanding of the challenges caused by paralysis guides our clients through this difficult time. We will fight to ensure our clients receive the proper medical attention they deserve while working toward recovering monetary compensation for their injuries.

Paralysis is typically categorized as complete or incomplete. Basically, incomplete paralysis refers to the fact that individuals can still retain some fine motor control and sensation. Conversely, individuals suffering from complete paralysis will most likely lose all feeling and movement in the affected regions.
- Paraplegia: An accident or illness that damages the lower regions of the spinal cord can cause paraplegia, a paralysis of the legs and lower body.
- Quadriplegia: A more serious type of paralysis, quadriplegia includes both the upper and lower portions of the body. Damage to the upper region of the spinal cord can cause paralysis to both the arms and legs. Individuals who suffer from quadriplegia might also have difficulty breathing, and they might require the use of a ventilator to continue breathing.
We understand that these injuries can be devastating. It is our goal to completely handle the legal side of our clients' dilemma while they focus on living their life.
