Nashville, Tenn., June 14, 2012 - The Tennessee Association for Justice (TAJ) has honored Daniel Clayton, of Kinnard, Clayton & Beveridge in Nashville, with a coveted TAJ Paladin Award. The award recognizes TAJ Members who have achieved outstanding results for a client despite great obstacles and who have worked tirelessly to protect the civil justice system. Clayton is one of three 2012 award recipients, and is the only winner from Middle Tennessee.
"With so many special interest groups attempting to take away the right to trial by jury, Daniel has gone above and beyond the call of duty to fight for civil justice," stated TAJ Board Member and Paladin Awards Committee Chair Matt Hardin. "I admire each of the recipients for their hard work and dedication to the Tennessee Association for Justice and the people of Tennessee."
Clayton was especially recognized for three specific things: (1) his trial successes, (2) being an invaluable advocate for justice and the preservation of the U.S. trial system by his involvement in the legislative session, which included testimony before several key legislative committees, and, (3) on a community level, his work with foster children. Clayton and his family have served as foster parents to over 25 children.
